Adrenaline Racing has been working fervently with TEIN USA to introduce the TEIN Type-SS coilover system to the Miata community. The *NEW* TEIN Type-SS coilover system is an excellent choice for aggressive drivers, whether it be on the track, or on the street. You can drive with confidence knowing that your suspension system has been tuned and tested by a highly renowned JDM suspension tuner using National champion class Gymkhana drivers. Improvements from the old TEIN Type-HA include (but are not limited to the following)
1)Revised valving for a more comfortable ride during street use
2)Revised valving for "quieter" operation reducing the "squish" noise associated high performance suspensions.
3)Modified high speed rebound damping curve to accomodate more aggressive driving on higher damping settings.
4)Adaptable spacer so the kit now fits both NA6CE/NA8C models as well as NB8C models.

The TEIN Type-SS setup is also fully adjustable, so that you, the driver, have the ultimate say in how your car performs. Threaded spring perches allow discerning drivers to adjust the ride height with extreme precision. There are 16 levels of damping force that the kit can be set to; this means your TEIN Type-SS can be set as stiff as an N1 endurance car, or you may choose a softer setting for comfortable street driving. With the optional addition of pillow ball upper shock mounts, the suspension travel of your Miata can be improved as well. The kit comes with 7kg/mm (396lbs-in) front springs, and 6kg/mm (336lbs-in) springs, but different spring rates are available by request. All these things add up to the TEIN Type-SS being an outstanding value for the discriminating Miata driver.

Unlike some other coilover systems, the TEIN Type-SS kit comes complete with everything you need, and it comes completely assembled (For those who order with the P/U mount option). Every piece has been precisely matched to the other components to form a superbly balanced performance suspension system for your car. The Type Type-SS kit can be disassembled so that shocks can be overhauled and settings can be changed. Unlike other manufacturers, TEIN offers factory support for drivers who require this service.

For those of you who need additional suspension travel for your vehicle, Pillowball Upper Shock mounts are available as an option as well.

As an additional option, TEIN offers the EDFC (Electronic Damping Force Controller). A small control unit is placed within the car (about ¼ DIN), which allows you to adjust the damping force from the drivers seat. Up to 3 different settings can be stored, allowing you to recall a different setting for track use, street use, or another driver with the simple press of a button. You can also ‘lock’ the EDFC to prevent misuse by another driver, or accidental adjustments. A must have for the high-tech connoisseur.
