Adrenaline Racing is proud to announce the TEIN Type Basic Coilover System. This system was developed in conjunction with TEIN USA to create a Unique coilover system with the TEIN quality and craftsmanship that has become so well known in the Miata community.

The TEIN Basic system is priced competetively to other height adjustable suspension systems. In addition to what all other competing products claim to do, the TEIN Basic comes matched and tuned from the factory by National Class Gymkhana drivers who understand the importance of seamlessly blending on-track performance and street comfort.

The TEIN Basic Coilover comes with 15mm shorter than the stock shock bodies, allowing for some lowering without penalty to the suspension travel, something critically lacking in the OEM Miata suspension as well as other competing products. Any small amount of lowering from the factory ride height when using systems such as the Ground Control Coilover system, will immediately reduce your suspension travel, which will make your car bottom out frequently, and degrade the ride as well as the overall cornering performance. Frequently hitting the bumpstops can result in highly unpredictable handling as well as dramatically reduced stability at the limit.

The TEIN Basic suspension system comes with all the components necessary for you to do a suspension swap. The only thing re-used is the stock upper spring seat! There is no need to cut the bumpstops, buy shock boots or other miscellaneous pieces that can quickly add up and raise the cost of your “budget” shock replacement.

The TEIN Basic comes with 396lbs/in front springs and 336lbs/in rear springs. These spring rates are higher than the typical aftermarket spring-only solutions, but when combined with the optimal valving of the TEIN basic shocks make for a very comfortable ride. We are pleased to report that many of customers have even commented that it rides BETTER than stock while maintaining better composure and stability through corners!! We do however recommend using an Racing Beat front sway bar with this kit if you plan on using it for HPDE’s or Road Race applications as the cornering balance may not be suitable for ultra high speed sweepers typically not encountered on the street.
